Help Us Honor Cara Atkins Memory
Donation protected
On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. My beautiful 23-year-old niece, Cara Atkins, was taken from us far too soon in a devastating accident on I-75 Southbound, just before the Hwy 92 exit in Georgia.
We are now facing the unimaginable—planning a funeral we never expected. We’re asking for help to cover the unexpected costs of laying our sweet girl to rest. As much as she was "my person", her parents were truly her best friends. Their bond was something rare and beautiful—built on laughter, love, and countless travel adventures that filled their hearts with joy.
Cara was a light in this world. She was vibrant, kind, and full of life. She had a heart so big and gentle that she wouldn’t even hurt a bug. Her compassion for others was unmatched, and her smile would always brighten your day. She was an athlete, a dedicated student, and a dreamer who worked tirelessly to achieve her goals. She was the kind of person who made you feel seen, heard, and loved.
Cara had a heart full of love and a spirit that lit up every room. She was a devoted fan of her cousin Sean’s USF football games and tried not to ever miss the chance to cheer on UGA and FSU. Her love for animals was unmatched. She adored her wickedly cuddly cat and playful pups, and found joy in hiking, concerts, thrifting, video games, and quiet moments at home.
Thank you for loving her with us. Thank you for helping us honor her memory.
We are overwhelmed with the gratefulness of the support we have received. Please know all extra donations will be used to help with any other expenses due to this tragic accident. Thank you again.
