Honoring 20+ Years of Love, Light, and the Little Soul Who Blessed My Home

Hello everyone, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking a moment to read this.

Recently, I had to say goodbye to my beloved little girl, Buddy — my companion, my comfort, and a beautiful soul who filled my home with warmth for more than two decades. Her passing has left a deep ache in my heart, but I’m grateful for every moment God allowed me to spend with her.

Buddy’s Story — A Life Full of Love, Purpose, and Gentle Light

Buddy lived an extraordinary 20 to 22 years. In dog years, that’s somewhere between 90 and 140, yet she never truly seemed old. She carried a softness, a calm presence, a quiet spiritual glow — like she was here not just as a pet, but as a little teacher of love and patience.

She first came into the family as a rescued puppy, and she came to live with me later in life around age 15. From the moment she entered my home, she felt like she had always belonged there. Her tender spirit made even the hardest days feel lighter, and her gentle way of loving left an imprint on my heart that will never fade.

Doing Everything I Could to Give Her a Healthy, Natural Life

Because she meant so much to me, I tried my absolute best to give her the healthiest life I possibly could — especially as she got older. I gave her the most natural supplements I could find, the healthiest foods, and I baked and prepared almost all of her protein and veggies myself so I knew exactly what was going into her little body. She deserved purity, safety, and love in every meal, and I poured my heart into giving her that.

But despite everything, her kidneys could no longer keep up because of her age. I wanted so badly to get her fluids to help her kidneys recover, but the veterinarians explained to me — with compassion — that they must advocate for the well-being of their patients. And for Buddy, the most humane and loving choice was euthanasia.

To make things harder, she also had a cancerous growth that continued to grow. I took her to several vets and surgeons for consultations. Many charged for tests — bloodwork, X-rays, imaging — but in the end, none felt safe performing surgery due to her kidney condition. That’s why I tried twice to get her fluids, hoping to support her kidneys enough to give her a fighting chance. But because of her age and her fragile organs, the fluids would only have prolonged the inevitable and possibly caused her more suffering.

So I held her.
I prayed over her.
I learned from her strength, her heroism, her calm acceptance.

But it was — and still is — incredibly difficult.

Her Final Moments — Wrapped in Love and Prayer

Letting Buddy go was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. When the time came, I held her gently, kissed her head, and whispered how much she was loved. I prayed for her soul to be embraced by God, and I believe she felt that love and left this world in peace.

The silence in my home is heavy now, but I remind myself that love never disappears. It becomes memory, presence, spirit. I believe Buddy is still with me — in her own little heavenly way.

Why I’m Asking for Help

As I navigate this grief, I’m also trying to honor Buddy with a peaceful, spiritual resting place — one that reflects the love, purity, and long life she lived. Burial and memorial expenses have been overwhelming, and I’m humbly asking for help raising $3,000 to give her the respectful and beautiful farewell she deserves.

How Even $1 Can Be a Blessing

I truly believe in the miracle of small kindnesses.
Even $1 can be a blessing — and blessings multiply.

If 3,000 people gave just $1, the entire goal would be met.
Every single dollar makes a difference.
Every share helps.
Every prayer lifts a little of the weight from my heart.

How You Can Help

If you feel moved to donate — even the smallest amount — it means more than you can imagine.
If you can’t give financially, simply sharing this page or offering a prayer or kind intention is just as powerful.

No act of love is ever too small.
No act of compassion ever goes unnoticed.

Thank You, and God Bless You for Reading

Thank you for reading Buddy’s story.
Thank you for your compassion, your kindness, your prayers, and your time.
And thank you for helping me honor a little soul who spent her entire life giving unconditional love without ever asking for anything in return.

May God bless you, comfort you, and return every kindness you share.

With heartfelt appreciation ❤️
