We lost my father-in-law, Big Bud, less than two weeks after my mother-in-law Jeanne’s memorial. Losing both of them just eight weeks apart has been incredibly painful for our whole family.
This has been especially hard on their son, Buddy, who is doing everything he can to take care of things while grieving the loss of both of his parents. I’m writing this on his behalf to help support him through something no one should have to go through so close together.
We were able to give Jeanne a beautiful service and celebration of life, and we’re so grateful to everyone who supported us through that. But we didn’t expect to be saying another goodbye so soon.
Right now, we’re not in a place to plan a memorial for Big Bud. We’re still trying to catch up on expenses from both losses. The cost of two back-to-back passings, along with the time we’ve had to take away from work to care for them and grieve, has put us in a really difficult financial spot.
We’re raising funds to help cover the cost of Big Bud’s cremation, some of the bills and legal expenses that have come up, and when we’re able to, a memorial to celebrate his life just like we did for Jeanne.
We wouldn’t be asking if we didn’t truly need the help. If you’re able to contribute financially, we’re incredibly thankful. But even if you can’t donate, we’d love if you’d consider sharing this or sending us a memory, a photo, or a kind word about Big Bud. Hearing how others knew and loved them brings so much comfort right now.
Thank you so much for supporting our family through this. Your kindness, whether it’s through a donation or just being here, means more than we can say.
