We are saddened by the sudden passing of our mother, Bertha. She was a tia to many, dedicating her life to supporting young people who found themselves in tough situations like herself as a young one, to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Our mother always knew how to light up a room with great personality, a bright smile and open arms. She was very dedicated and determined woman she made sure to always help but most importantly to always love and guide without judgement, she knew what it was to struggle and she always wanted to help where she could and never gave up. If you knew Bertha you would say there could never be another strong, smart and loving woman. She was just cut from a different cloth and always stood out she was Amazing. The most important role she played was our mother and protector.Home was always where she was even in the worst circumstances, with a kiss and a hug we knew we’d be okay because we were all together.
