Unfortunately, on the 26th of August, we got a call from the warden at Salinas Valley. He notified us and let us know they found my brother's body. They said that he hung himself in his cell. It's not easy to deal with this as he's been gone for a while, and with the realization that he's not coming home, it's hard for us. It's hard for my mom, it's hard for his family, it's hard for his kids. My brother Ben was loved and respected by many people. He was a good person; he was protective, he was loyal, he was fun, he was funny. He was a big teddy bear if you could get past his outside Mr. Tough Guy. He was a soft, gentle, loving person. So I'm trying to raise up some funds so we can have a proper send-off, so he can go to heaven or Valhalla and be at peace and watch over his family. Like I said, this isn't easy. My brother was my hero, he was my everything, he was my guardian, he was my friend, he was my... he was me. He was part of me. He's gone, and I feel lost. Part of me has been taken, but I need to keep his memory alive and keep his name alive. Ben Ramage is one solid, respectful, loyal human.
