Our hearts are breaking as we share this. Nearly seven weeks ago, my dad Kenneth Sorenson, a man so many of you know, love, and respect — was suddenly hospitalized. Since then, he’s endured strokes, kidney failure, multiple procedures after being transferred to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, we learned he has TP53 leukemia, a rare and aggressive cancer with a survival rate of only 20%.
Through every diagnosis, every hospital stay, and every treatment, my dad has fought with a strength and determination that has amazed us all. But the chemo didn’t work, and yesterday he suffered a heart attack. We have now made the painful decision to place him on hospice care. We don’t know how much time we have left with him.
He’s our rock, our storyteller, our safe place. He’s a man who has touched countless lives in this community with his kindness, humor, and generosity. We want to give him the farewell he deserves: a beautiful celebration of life and cremation arrangements that honor the man he is.
If you are able, we humbly ask for your help. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward these after-life costs. If you cannot give, please share this and keep our family in your prayers.
Thank you for walking with us through this heartbreaking journey. Your love, kindness, and support mean more than words could ever express.
