HELP US HELP THEM. TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

It’s that time again folks! Time to fly in street cats a.k.a MAUs from the Middle East to the United States via the MAU MUBARAK PROGRAM!

So - What is the MAU MUBARAK PROGRAM you say?

Rumi & Shosho, a cat & girl team founded the MAU MUBARAK PROGRAM to recruit, prep, organize and fly street cats from a CRISIS situation in Oman to the US for their forever homes coordinating with dedicated rescuer/ foster/ vet networks who work around the clock. On landing in the US, we hand over rescues are handed over to our partner rescues or transported directly to their forever homes.

What do we mean by a CRISIS?

Imagine, 10 street cats per trash can, a trash can per block, zero TNR programs, zero institutional funding support, zero registered animal welfare NGOs, at least 30 cats per foster home, etc We are talking street cat numbers and death counts not fathomable in the United States.

With 4 rescue partners in the US in New York, Pittsburgh & Maryland, Rumi & Shosho have flown in over 86 strays to date and are pushing to fly 7 street cat hopefuls prepped and ready to fly to their chance at a forever home Oct 4th.

LET’s TALK DOLLARS:

As you can imagine, for an operation of this size, a lot of money is needed. Let’s have a quick look at what that means -

Passenger tickets( $2600), Customs( $700), Local transport( $350)

Single cat prep: This includes Cat airline ticket, neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, FIV/ FELV testing, health certificates, export certificates, airline approved carrier. Totals to a 600$. Do the math for 7 cats!

Add everything up and we have a whopping total of $6850!

This is excluding additional costs that come into play during rescue operations and clinic visits during time at fosters.

WHERE WE ARE AT :

By pooling in funds from multiple sources - personal, individual, rescuer - group/ solo and vet donations, we have $4484.

WHAT WE NEED:

We are short of $2366 to make this happen - Saving 7 lives!

By doing so, we hope to give you a glimpse into our world and join us in our exciting journey.
