Herd About Rescue opened its doors at what was both the best and the worst time to start a rescue. The best time because so many dogs were (and still are) being surrendered in record numbers, and we knew we could help. The worst time, because those overwhelming number of dogs are incurring large vet bills at a time when fundraising for rescues is at its most difficult.

We have been lucky in that we have some amazing fosters and volunteers who have been holding bills on our behalf, as we try to raise those much needed funds. However.....the extreme number of dogs needing help is forcing us to find more creative ways to fundraise.

We NEED to raise funds to continue rescuing. We NEED your help. We cannot continue to have fosters hold bills on our behalf (even if they offer). We need to pay outstanding bills, we need to raise funds for the dogs currently in care, and we need to continue the work we love going forward. We need YOU!

Below are just a few of the sweet souls who have come through our doors. All are loved, all are worth saving. One of the bills that a lovely foster is holding for us to be repaid is show below too. That is just one bill of many now.
