Help Us Help the Brills and The Finish Line Cafe

Many of you don’t know I came from the mid-west. My father took us as kids to this cute little mom and pop Cafe growing up called The Finish Line Cafe. The owners Jaci and Jarvis Brill have been like a second family to much of the Gering/Scottsbluff, Ne area for years. This past week at Sturgis tragedy struck them.

While waiting at a red light to turn, another vehicle ran into the left side of Jarvis knocking him and his motorcycle to the ground and then striking Jaci’s motorcycle. Jaci was slammed into the truck behind her, ripping the skin off of her legs exposing muscle, bone, and tendon. Her pelvis is broken and she had to be extracted from the grill of the truck. Jaci has undergone several blood transfusions, multiple surgeries and skin grafts so far and is looking at several months of recovery. The driver of the vehicle did not have insurance to cover medical expenses and/or liability for lost wages, etc.

The only source of income for the Brill’s is through their beloved restaurant. As of now, The town is “rallying” together to help the family cope with financial losses. This go fund me account is yet another way to ensure that the Jarvis family can make it through this horrific incident.

Any small amount you can give is appreciated as it will be awhile before you will be able to give a tip to that smiling face that was so reliably waiting every morning to start your day. For those of you seeing this nationwide …. Well some of us “biker” kids have left the nest and are appealing to our biker brothers and sisters to help any way they can to help fellow bikers in need.
