*Good News, after spending just over a month in Halifax Derek is now back on PEI and being cared for at the QEH in Charlottetown. It is so great to have Loretta and Derek back on PEI!

On Monday September 13, life changed very quickly for Derek, Loretta, Logan and Maddie Anderson of Nine Mile Creek.

Derek a self-employed painter, had and accident with a camp fire at their house and was severely burned over about 65% of his body. He was transported to the QEH in Charlottetown and then air lifted to the Halifax burn unit. He has had one surgery and has a very long road to a full recovery. His wife Loretta, a grade one teacher will remain with him in Halifax to assist in his recovery for the next 6 - 8 weeks.

Derek's recovery will require additional surgeries, more time in the hospital, and many return trips to Halifax over the next year.

During this time Derek will be unable to work, therefore we are reaching out for your support to assist the
