Help us get Pepper the care she needs!

Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

About a week ago, our sweet girl Pepper began showing concerning digestive symptoms that sent us to the vet in search of answers—and to get her on the road to recovery.

What was originally diagnosed as a simple upset stomach quickly spiraled into something much more serious: worsening symptoms including bloody diarrhea, refusal to eat, and extreme lethargy. Our once spunky, energetic, and loving girl had become a shadow of herself, and it was clear she needed emergency care.

The initial diagnosis was Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea, which had inflamed Pepper’s system so severely that it became difficult to determine whether a more serious issue—like a bowel obstruction or underlying condition—was also at play.

After several days of testing and IV therapy in critical care, Pepper is finally beginning to turn a corner. But the cost of her care has grown quickly and become overwhelming. We know times are tough for everyone right now, and asking for help is never easy—but there truly is nothing we wouldn’t do for our beloved family member.

When we rescued Pepper nearly two years ago, we made her a promise: that we’d never give up on her. She has brought endless joy to our lives and to everyone lucky enough to meet her. Pepper is goofy, affectionate, and the best friend anyone could ask for. If you can help us keep our promise to her, we would be forever grateful.

We’re hopeful that Pepper will be discharged soon, but she still has a long road ahead toward a full recovery. Every dollar will go directly toward her medical bills and any ongoing care she may need.
