Hi, we are Bella and Jess and we are fundraising for a stray kitten we found in Nusa Penida, Indonesia. He is yet to be named but for the purpose of his story with us so far we shall refer to him as Mister.
We were on our bike back from the beach when Jess heard a distinctive ‘meow’ so we stopped to investigate. Mister darted across the road into grassland. Jess said she was talking to him and he would ‘meow’ back. Once I’d parked up the bike I joined the investigation and found him hiding by a rock. After a few minutes Jess had Mister in her arms and we both looked around for Mum or other kittens, but Mister was all alone.
We took him back to our room, fed him, gave him water and lots of cuddles and started messaging local rescue centres. The next morning he had a vet visit which was extremely successful, Mister was perfectly okay. However, it seemed no one had room to look after him. Even the vet said it would be extremely tough to find him a home.
It is day 3 now and we are still searching for a forever home for Mister. Our only options so far are to pay for foster care until he can get adopted in Bali, but we do not know how long it will take for him to get adopted; in addition, we fear what level of care and treatment he will receive. Therefore, the other option is to bring him back to the UK with us.
As two unemployed women in their 20s who adore animals, we would love to bring him home but unfortunately cannot afford to. Also, with our own respective animals back home who would not welcome a kitten, we must find him a forever home in the UK too.
This is where we need your help. Our options for Misters’ future are doable but expensive. Therefore any donation to help us help Mister is invaluable. In just a few hours Mister went from shy and scared to curled up in our arms, in a day he started playing and in two days he is zooming around and adventuring. Please help us continue his progress and find him a forever home. We will not give up on him.
