One of our long-term co-workers has been and is continuing to experience the most challenging years of her life.
Let us tell you why we started a GoFundMe for her and her family!
This is a young married couple that recently had their first baby (she is now just over a year old). During our co-workers pregnancy, her husband became quite ill with a life-threatening brain tumour, which led to several surgeries and months of chemotherapy. Through perseverance, patience and everyone’s support, he started feeling a bit better and slowly was able to return to work.
Our co-worker returned to work after her maternity leave to continue supporting all of us. She walked through the door every morning with a smile on her face and always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. Honestly, we would have never known anything she was going through in her personal life.
However, a few months ago, her husband became severely ill once again and is now having to go through some of the same process without really knowing what the outcome could be. Our co-worker has taken the selfless decision to spend this time with her family and support them in every way; as a way to best take care of her husband, her daughter is still attending daycare throughout the day.
Due to these unforeseen events neither of them are capable of working. Therefore, we are hoping to help relieve some of the financial stress that is accompanied with the inability to work. With the funds we collect, our wish is to pay for childcare and any other costs that arise so that she is able to continue supporting and caring for her husband everyday.
