Help us help our dad. He can't do it alone.

We are Dale's daughters, Ashley and Lindsey. In October 2022, dad went to the doctor because he struggled to breathe. After several tests, doctors determined he has stage 4 lung cancer. A 14 cm in diameter mass is blocking his airway and around his heart. Beginning in December, he started radiation and will soon begin chemotherapy. We set up this page because he can't work, has medical bills, needs to cover his basic necessities, and has a tough journey ahead.

Our dad has always been strong and independent. We grew up with him. He taught us the values of life, made homecooked meals for us every day, took us on many adventures and provided for us in ways that go beyond what a single parent does. Growing up, we didn't have much, but we had his excitement and adventure for life. Every year we went camping and took ski trips. He gave us a love that cannot be explained, and helped us bloom into the young ladies we are today. His love grew even more when he met both of his grandchildren, Signe who is 2, and baby Fritz just a few months old. We get to watch his eyes fill with joy. If people know our dad, they know just how strong and funny he is. Even with being such a rockstar and so strong, this is scary for everyone.

The funds we are asking for will be used directly to support the tough journey ahead. He is struggling to breathe and is unable to work, driving to and from appointments in the twin cities, and back and forth for treatment. Money will be used for bills around the house, personal expenses such as gas, groceries, phone bills, and any previous and upcoming medical bills. Any little bit helps, and we appreciate it beyond measure!
