Please help us Help Marsha become a nurse!
Alison Animal Hospital became a member of this great community in 2014. Since then, we have remained open at least six days a week (even during the pandemic), supporting the community and the local rescue groups (Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Small World Cat Rescue & Good Home Pet Adoptions).
Although this is somewhat of an unusual request, we feel it’s both reasonable and wonderful.
Marsha Leandre has been working at the front desk at Alison for over six years. She is incredibly hard-working, always has a positive attitude and is a real animal lover. It’s been her goal since I met her to work with children as a professional healthcare provider. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree (while working full time at Alison) and was just accepted into Mercy’s College’s prestigious nursing program.
Alison Animal Hospital wants to help her realize this dream of becoming a nurse. She will continue to work at Alison simultaneously while at Mercy College (at their Bronx campus) during the program’s 18 months.
Even in such a stressful time, if you could find it in your hearts to make a small donation to help with this tuition, Alison will match that donation. At the end of the day, it is the fact that we help each other that transforms our fine community into a great one.
On a personal note, not only is Marsha such an integral part of what makes us an exceptional animal hospital, but she is just such a warm, sincere and intelligent person. There is not a doubt in my mind she will complete the program to become a truly caring pediatric nurse, which we all can be proud to have supported.
Thank you all so much.
