HELP Us HELP Leslie Echols fight Lymphoma
Donation protected
UPDATE:
April 6, 2022
Today, Leslie is heading into her 4th chemo treatment. It’s been rough, but she’s getting through it. She hasn’t been able to go back to work due to the complete pain and exhaustion that takes over her body after these treatments. Once she finishes these chemo treatments, she’ll start aggressive radiation.
This week she decided to come stay with us for a while. Thank you to everyone who has donated, called, prayed, visited, offered services and helping hands over the last 3 months…she can’t thank you enough for helping support her on this journey.
Please keep Leslie in your thoughts and prayers.
Cancer sucks!

December 21, 2021, my cousin, Leslie Echols, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma after months of suffering from unexplained chronic pain in her shoulder.
In December, before her diagnosis, Leslie started her new job at Las Vegas Neurology Center and is now on COBRA Insurance. These premiums are very high, and the timing of this diagnosis is tough with insurance companies. She has already endured an MRI, PET scan, MUGA scan, two bone marrow biopsies (shoulder & hip), lymph node biopsy and the PORT install for Chemotherapy.
Chemo begins February 2nd, followed by radiation and immunosuppressive infusions for the next two years.
Let me just take a second to talk about Leslie...she is driven, smart, talented, empathetic, creative, beautiful (inside and out) and determined to heal from this. She put herself through college and graduate school while working full-time. She has since been working as a PA in the health care industry for many years and has worked countless hours during this global pandemic with barely any time off. Unfortunately, with the pandemic still raging and her immune system compromised, we arent sure what the future holds...she will continue to work (depending on how she feels after each chemo/radiation treatment) but will need to take some time off for the chemo and radiation treatments and doctor visits.
Leslie lives alone with no financial help, so my goal is to help her emotionally and financially on this journey. During this time, I am hoping to help cover some of the expenses that may come up while she is seeking treatment and/or if out of work, including any of her recovery procedures not covered by health insurance.
Thank you for your prayers, support and contributions.
This will mean the world to Leslie and our entire family.
Much Love,
Heather Skupa & our family
