Hi my name is Jayd, the Mother of Laylah A Thompson. We are trying to raise funds to help us make this new transition we are now having to face together. She was recently diagnosed with AMKL Leukemia (Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukemia) subtype M7 Ram 7 at 3 yrs old. This was a big bomb that we were not expecting to hear. Now what we have made our home is now where we have to leave temporarily until we get her Chemo in remission. All these life changes that are going to be done are going to be costly. With your help, we can make this transition a little easier. My baby was healthy, strong, sassy, goofy and so independent. Sept 7 is when we were told she had Leukemia from a bone marrow biopsy. It took 2 in half months to even figure out what was wrong with her she wasn't able to walk or even move because the pain was exrousiating after weeks to months on running all these different blood test being picked and poked, exams, x-rays, and transfusions and all. This has been a nightmare! Never did the Thought run through my head that my child would be one of the unlucky ones to have gotten something so devastating to hear! Its like i dont know how this even happened she was just playing and running outside keeping up with her big brother she took a nap and woke up like this... If you don't know what type of cancer this is its the cancer of the blood. Your blood cells are made from your bone marrow and her red blood cells are premature and dying off which causes her bones to weaken and to get lesions. Most of the bad bone marrow is spread around her pelvic hip, and thighs bones but also in other parts of the body is why she's having such generalized pain through out her body.
