Please join us in helping a man who has given so much. This is urgent! Lane Stunkel is always there for every Veteran. As the 4th District Commander, Representative for Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and his dedicated work on National Security and Foreign Affairs Committee - he is relentless in making sure that "...no Veteran is turned away without full justice." As far as we know he has never turned away any Veteran in need. He understands the resources available extremely well and utilized them to make sure every Veteran was given an opportunity to succeed.
His communication with The American Legion family is second to none He keeps everyone informed. He has held many titles in helping Veterans through the American Legion programs and done them well!
Lane puts his service to Veterans above his needs... there are health issues during the last year that no one knows about - but he has battled through them and never missed a beat to help those he feels are "more in need". He has a long recovery ahead and his healing can be better if a potential financial burden is eased by an outpouring through our love offerings. We can all help while he does the hard work of getting well.
Lane works full time and is the "breadwinner" for the family, and as most of us know, when that income stream is disrupted even for a short period (much LESS 4 months or more) - the strain can affect not only financial obligations but family relations. Lane would never, ever ask for help. WE reached out to HIM and although he is reluctant to accept help - his voice and tears spoke volumes on how much it would mean to him and his family to have that added security in these stressful times. His wife Mary can really use our support as she keeps their home afloat without Lanes help. That can be very overwhelming as all of the usual responsibilities are on her shoulders right now.
Our work continues in a big way when we can help each other. The time is now to give back. We can not do this without your help and support. Please make your gift today!
