My name is Kaleigh, or as I’m fondly known in my daughter's preschool class, the “other Kaleigh.” I’m raising money for my friend and coworker, “the real Kaleigh,” who is Maura’s preschool teacher. She has had one of the worst weeks you could imagine. What started as some pain and blurred vision in her eye has spiraled into a lengthy hospital stay full of procedures, pain, and unfortunately, no real answers. She has been away from her two beautiful daughters, Paisley and Iris, for almost a week now, unable to care for them. Her mother has been taking her to doctor and hospital visits while her husband, Jordan, has to take time off work unpaid to care for their girls. It hurts our hearts so much to know Kaleigh is scared and in pain, not able to be the wonderful, attentive, fun mother and teacher she is. Kaleigh has to spend her 25th birthday, 3/15, in the hospital this year. She recently told me St. Patrick’s Day is her favorite holiday, and the way things are looking, she will spend that in the hospital too. As we all know too well, medical bills don’t slow down for anyone, and while we still don’t have many answers, we are sure that they will keep coming. I am asking for whatever can be spared to help this wonderful woman and her family, whether it be donations or prayers, so when they come out on the other end of this madness, they have hopefully one less thing to worry about. Maura and her classmates miss Kaleigh so much; all we want to do is help get her home and healthy.
Thank you for reading and your thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
