We are Paul & Emily Salisbury, Co-Founders of Guru Travel Group, one of Jamaica's top selling agents in the UK. Jamaica has always been more than just a destination—it’s a vibrant heartbeat of culture, resilience, and warmth that captivates the soul. We’ve built our business around sharing this incredible island with the world. The country and its people hold a special place in our hearts, from the rhythmic reggae beats of Kingston to the pristine beaches of Negril. We’ve seen firsthand how tourism fuels livelihoods, supports families, and drives community growth.

But on October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa unleashed unprecedented devastation, with winds exceeding 175 mph, catastrophic flooding, and widespread destruction across parishes like Portland, St. Thomas, and beyond. Homes were shattered, infrastructure crippled, and countless lives upended. In the wake of this tragedy, our priority is clear: we must get Jamaica back on its feet. The best way we can help long-term is by selling holidays to bring visitors back, restoring jobs and economic vitality. Yet, right now, the focus has to be on immediate recovery—rebuilding staff homes, caring for families, and ensuring essential aid reaches those who need it most.

That’s why we’re channeling all proceeds from this fundraiser directly to The Sandals Foundation, a Jamaican-born-and-bred nonprofit that’s deeply embedded in the island’s fabric. As a 501(c)(3) organization founded in the spirit of community upliftment, this cause is incredibly close to their heart—and ours. They’re already on the ground, distributing emergency supplies like clean water, food kits, hygiene essentials, and medical aid to affected areas. With their proven track record in Caribbean disaster response, your donations will fund not just survival, but sustainable rebuilding: repairing schools, restoring environments, and empowering locals to thrive again.

We’re doing this in honor of the great Butch Stewart, the visionary Jamaican founder of Sandals Resorts, who would stop at nothing to support his beloved homeland. Butch’s legacy of generosity and dedication to Jamaica inspires us to rally together—let’s honor him by giving everything we can.
