Help us help injured pets!
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Dr. Shannon Stanek, I have been the owner of the Exton Vet Clinic for 16 years. A veterinarian for 25 years. Having gone through many injuries myself, a major cancer battle in 2019, I am working on doing more to help the animals in South East Pennsylvania. As part of that, I am building a rehab and surgery center. While we will treat paying customers, there is expensive specialized equipment and further training we need (Underwater treadmill, facility build out, surgical lift table, advanced rehab classes etc.) Between my cancer battle, staff being out with Covid and my recent injury (fell hanging the coming soon sign for the rehab and need surgery (funds raised will not be used for any of our personal expenses)), our business funds are low and credit not great. A wonderful client suggested we start a go fund me and said they would donate.
So here is what I can do so we can all help more pets in need. For every dollar raised I will match it in services for pets in need of care. So if we raise our $55,000 goal I will donate $110,000 in any veterinary services performed at our general clinic and the new rehab to pets in rescue care or who have families that have demonstrated financial need. I am already affiliated with To Love A Canine Rescue PA, but will happily provide it to any rescue pet that needs any of the services we provide.
Donations of $100 or more will also qualify you to be listed on a wall of donors in the new space. Donations of $500 or more will also have their logo placed on the underwater treadmill.
As part of the training program we have already started working with some of our patients in need of care at reduced rates. If you have a pet needing rehab while we are finishing training we would be happy to have you all come in and will do a free full evaluation for any donation made. The photos are of Buddy an older rescue beagle who has a torn ACL and Meniscus. We are working with him to maintain his muscle mass, help rebalance him, strengthen his core and his other rear leg to try and prevent the all to common opposite leg getting the same injury.
Thank you so much for your consideration. Please share this also with your friends and family to help spread the word.
Doc Shannon and the Exton Vet Clinic Team.
