Derby and Alfreton Hedgehog Rescue Centres are self-funded and run entirely by two people. We spend our own time and money rescuing and caring for sick and injured hedgehogs. We also over-winter autumn juveniles who are too small to survive hibernation. The hedgehogs we rescue come from a wide area because there are so few hedgehog rescues in the region. Caring for hedgehogs is a costly affair. We desperately need support in paying vet bills! Many of the hedgehogs that come to use need medications and/or operations. One of the two vet practises that has supported us to-date has had to withdraw their support because of a head office change in policy: the other is passing on more of the costs of treatment. We can not continue to run these rescue centres without support in paying the vet bills! Please help if you can. These precious and endangered animals can no longer thrive without help from people. Please help us help hedgehogs.
