Hey all, Cam & Abi here. We've had a couple days of vet appointments that have carried increasingly bad news.

Thursday morning our cat youngest cat Gremmy wasn't eating, was feverish, and having very labored breathing. We immediately got her into a vet appointment that morning, where they did an introductory exam and found some bacteria in her urine. After doing an ultrasound to make sure she didn't have any blockages in her digestive tract or breathing, we went home with antibiotics for the urinary infection, an appetite stimulant, and spent the night giving her water and wet food through a syringe and watching her breathing all night.

Unfortunately Friday morning Gremmy had not improved, and our vet was able to get us back in for a follow up appointment.

Further imaging revealed fluid pressing on her lungs, hence the difficulty breathing, and a lack of infection being present in that fluid has the vet concerned that it is cancerous fluid, some form of lymphoma, and we are currently at Blue Pearl in Southfield waiting to see an oncology specialist to have that fluid further tested.

Our vets at Jefferson Veterinary Clinic have been great, reasonably priced, and very up front with us on the costs and treatment options available.

Regardless of the testing results, we are preparing to have to make a difficult decision on how much treatment we want to put our little girl through. We are considering how fast her sickness came on, how much her ability to move around on her own has already changed, and of course how much she loves us and we love her.

This tiny cat has opened up so much to us, we have had her for her entire life, and she completes our household.
