Help Us Heal Little Bear's Legs and Keep Our Family Whole
Donation protected
Little Bear is not just a pet—he’s part of our family. He’s my rock, my comfort, and even though he’s not officially licensed, he’s absolutely my emotional support dog. At just six years old, he’s been by my side through some of the hardest moments of my life, especially as I’ve struggled with chronic back pain and undergone surgery. With another surgery of my own coming up, I’m doing my best to stay strong—but now it’s Little Bear who needs me.
In just the last couple of months, Little Bear has torn not one, but both of his CCLs (the dog equivalent of ACLs). On good days, he limps. On bad days, I can’t even talk about it without tearing up. He’s in pain. He’s struggling. And my heart breaks seeing him like this.
Each knee surgery costs $5,000—a total of $10,000 to get him back on his feet and out of pain. It’s a lot, and it’s more than we can handle on our own.
But this isn’t just about me and Little Bear. Our 2.5-year-old son, Eddie, adores him. They walk together, play together, nap together. Little Bear is Eddie’s buddy, his protector, his best friend. Lately, Eddie keeps asking me, “What’s wrong with Bear?” And I don’t know how to explain it in a way a toddler can understand.
All I know is that this dog means the world to us—and we can’t imagine our lives without him. We want to give him the life he deserves, free of pain, with many more walks, snuggles, and tail wags to come.
If you’re able, please help us give Little Bear the chance to run and play again. Any amount helps, and every share brings us closer to our goal. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
