Our Commitment to Transparency
To ensure every donor knows exactly who they're supporting and how their money will be used, here is a clear breakdown of our plan:
1. Who You Are:
- Campaign Organizer: My name is Avash Shrestha. I am a resident of Bloomington, Illinois, in the United States.
- Beneficiary: The funds will be directed to Supriya Shrestha and her registered non-profit organization, Healing Hearts, located in Kathmandu, Nepal.
2. Your Relationship to the Parties:
Supriya is a close personal friend of mine whom I trust completely. I am raising these funds on her behalf because she is in Nepal, where GoFundMe services are not available. I will be responsible for ensuring 100% of the funds (after platform fees) are delivered to her for this relief effort.
3. How the Funds Will Be Spent:
Through Healing Hearts, every dollar will go directly to providing both nourishment and emotional healing for survivors. Based on local costs, here’s what your donation can provide:
Cooked Food Packages ($5 per meal set)
- Nutritious cooked meals for patients and families in hospitals and shelters.
- With $2,500, we can serve 500 meals.
Electrolytes & Fresh Juices ($5 per person)
- ORS/electrolytes, seasonal fruits, and fresh juices to restore hydration and strength.
- With $2,500, we can reach 500 individuals.
Therapy & Healing Kits ($20 per kit)
- Journals, books, stress-relief tools, and art supplies to support survivors’ mental health.
- With $2,500, we can provide 125 therapy kits.
Child Creativity Kits ($10 per child)
- Storybooks, coloring sets, and crayons to help children heal through play.
- With $2,500, we can bring joy to 250 children.
Transportation for Aid Delivery ($20 per trip)
- Covers fuel and vehicle costs to deliver meals, juices, and kits to hospitals and shelters.
- With $2,500, we can make 125 trips.
Balanced Mix for $2,500:
- $900 → Cooked meals (180 meals).
- $500 → Electrolytes & juices (100 people).
- $500 → Therapy & healing kits (25 survivors).
- $400 → Child creativity kits (40 children).
- $200 → Transportation (10 trips).
4. The Fund Transfer Plan:
- Step 1: All funds raised will be deposited into my personal, verified US bank account here in Illinois.
- Step 2: I will withdraw the full amount and transfer it directly to Supriya Shrestha's bank account in Nepal using a secure and documented service like Wise.
- Step 3: Supriya and her team will use the funds to purchase the aid supplies listed above. We are committed to full accountability and will post updates here on GoFundMe with photos of the aid distribution and receipts for the supplies purchased.
