We are small town kids.
We have spent our senior year behind masks, socially distanced. We spent a big part of the school year learning at home behind computer screens often isolated from friends and family. We missed being part of the student section at sporting events and have watched our friends compete on YouTube links instead of in the stands. We missed the homecoming parade and dance. We missed the Winter Formal.
We thought we would miss our senior prom and after prom, but the governor has loosened the restrictions, and we can take part in this wonderful tradition on April 24! Prom will be held at the Shrine Center in Dayton, and after-prom is going to take place at JD Legends. We will bowl, play sand volleyball, toss corn-hole, sing karaoke, win prizes, dance, and eat more pizza and drink more soda than we thought possible. However, here is where we need your help.
We have missed any opportunities to fund-raise for our annual after prom. By this time in the year, we would have sold pizzas, donuts, cookie dough, t-shirts, and candy bars. We would have plenty of funds to cover the expenses for after prom and only have to charge a nominal amount for tickets. Please donate to our after-prom fundraiser, so that we can have a safe, fun place to hangout after the dance. Please donate so that we can have a moment of normalcy in our senior year. Thank you.
