For more than six years, my husband and I have carried a prayer close to our hearts: to grow our family and have a child together. That hope has been with us through so much waiting, praying, and trying. For me, this dream carries an especially deep meaning because I am an educator. I have spent my career teaching, encouraging, loving, and helping shape the lives of other people’s children. It is work I truly value, but alongside that calling has always been the hope that one day I would be able to pour that same love into a child of our own.

Today, we are at a point where waiting is becoming something we can no longer afford medically. I have been diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve, and we have learned that time is an important factor in our treatment. IVF is now our best chance to grow our family, but the cost is more than we can manage alone. My husband has a son, but we do not have any children together, which makes this journey to have a child as a couple especially meaningful to us. Our insurance does not cover fertility treatment, which means we are responsible for the IVF procedure, medications, testing, and related medical expenses ourselves.
