Help Us Grow Our Family: IVF Fundraising Campaign

Dear friends and kind-hearted strangers,

We are Carlos and Tanya. For those who don’t know us, we found each other a bit later in life and, in doing so, discovered the true meaning of love. Together, we have built a life filled with hard work, honesty, and kindness.

We are both self-employed, working six days a week to support ourselves. Living in the UK without family around, we have always relied on each other, facing life’s challenges with strength and determination. We have never been ones to ask for help, always finding a way to fight our own battles.

But now, we are facing a challenge that we can’t overcome alone. The one thing missing from our lives—the dream that would make our world complete—is starting a family. Unfortunately, due to medical and financial obstacles, we are unable to do this without support.

For the past two years, we've been trying to conceive, but unfortunately, despite our efforts and numerous medical exams, we've been told that IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is our only option.

As you may know, IVF can be an incredibly expensive procedure, and while the NHS has been supportive in other ways, they are unable to offer us a free IVF treatment. After so many years of trying, we feel that this may be our only chance to fulfil our dream of becoming parents.

In addition to this during my initial consultation at an IVF clinic, I was diagnosed with a condition called hydrosalpinx. Unfortunately, without addressing this condition through surgery, I am unable to proceed with the IVF process, as it is a critical step for treatment success. The clinic has advised me to undergo the surgery privately due to my advanced age, to avoid further delays in starting IVF. However, the cost of the procedure can be as high as £5,000, which adds a significant financial burden on top of the already expensive IVF process /over £15 000 for a single try/

The clinic has provided me with a referral letter, which I have already submitted to my GP in hopes of accessing the surgery through the NHS. However, I have been informed that the waiting list is extensive, with no clear indication of how long it may take, time which we don't have.

We are incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve already received, and now we are humbly asking for help to raise the necessary funds for this life-changing treatment. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to our dream of having a family.
