Help Us Grow Heat Tolerant Corals To Save Our Coral Reefs
Tax deductible
By 2030, the coral reefs around the globe could be extinct as they are bleaching and dying faster than they can be replaced. One billion people depend on these reefs for food and Tuna rely on the reefs to reproduce and are at risk of extinction as well. Help us save our coral reefs before it’s too late!
Here at Replant The Reefs, we grow heat-tolerant corals and send them to coral restoration projects around the globe to fight climate change. We’ve brought together and engaged a network of hobbyists to harness their years-long growing process into a movement and Replant the Reefs is at the forefront of this work.
Undergoing high-heat tests, the corals we grow do not bleach at the temperatures those currently in the wild do, making them resistant to climate change. This is a game changer and with numerous biologists backing our work, our goal for 2025 is to send 1 Million heat-tolerant corals back to the ocean – that’s the size of six football fields – and we need your help to do this and more.
Your donations will assist in moving our farm from a small 500 sq ft space to a larger facility so more corals can be grown. Like trees, they need time and space to expand, but unlike them, they need expert care to get to a size where they can be replanted. We’re the experts but the space only comes with the funds needed to maintain our tanks and expand our work.
How can you help? We are a non-profit 501(c)3 and your tax-deductible donation of:
$25 Friend of the Reef: Sends a coral back to the reefs.
$100 Reef Supporter: provides enough sea salt for a month for several hundred corals
$250 Reef Advocate: Provides filter media and supplements for a month for the corals or sends 10 corals back to the reefs.
$500 Reef Partner: Provides overnight shipping across the globe for up to 100 coral colonies that are ready to be replanted. Acknowledgement on our website for your donation.
$1000 Reef Champion: Provides a new tank setup (aquarium, filters, pumps) for 100 new coral colonies each month, or a new LED light used to grow them. Acknowledgement on our website.
$5,000 Reef Conservationist: Provides enough space to build out four additional coral tanks that can produce 2,000 new corals each month. Acknowledgement on our website.
Many companies also match contributions to 501(c)3’s. You can submit this to your employer to make your contribution more impactful.
