We’re reaching out from Bridge College, a Special Educational Needs (SEN) college that supports incredible adults with a wide range of learning differences and additional needs.

Every day, our students show the world what’s possible when compassion, patience, and creativity are part of the learning process. Now, we want to give them something that gives back — a place where they can feel calm, confident, and connected to nature.

We’re dreaming of building a Sensory Garden — and we need your help to make it happen.

Why a Sensory Garden?

Many of our students benefit enormously from sensory experiences. A well-designed sensory garden can provide:

Sensory stimulation – through touch, scent, colour, and sound

A calming environment – for students who experience anxiety or sensory overload

Learning opportunities – around nature, responsibility, and mindfulness

Inclusive outdoor space – for everyone, regardless of ability

Whether it’s a quiet moment surrounded by lavender and soft grasses, or the joy of watching butterflies dance around a flower bed, a sensory garden is more than just a green space. It’s a place of healing, exploration, and growth.
