Help us to give Tyrion a chance

Hi, we're James and Natalie, and were in desperate need to help to save our boy, Tyrion.

Two weeks ago he got his leg caught in a trap and in the process of trying to free himself, he has ripped a large area of his leg off.

We were given the ultimatum to either attempt to fix his leg or have him put down. He's only 6 and previously a strong, healthy boy, so we thought it was worth an attempt at a lengthy ordeal to try and heal him.

The process of getting him better could take up to 3 months due to the size of the injury. We were saving money each month as an insurance policy, but the bill could potentially reach up to 5k if not more.

He has to be sedated daily to have his leg flushed out, examined and re-cast alongside heavy medication 3x times daily which we have now done for a week. He has a fracture above the toe and his other paw is badly wounded, probably trying to free himself. He has eye ulcers as side effect to all the medication and has lost a lot of weight. Unfortunately the wound is highly infected which is now attacking at his white blood cells. Of course we don't want to put him through any unnecessary pain, but if we can just get him over the next week and see if we can make some progress with the infection then he is in with a chance.

They have spoken to us about the possible need for amputation of a claw/toe, if not all the leg. This would be on top of the bills which we wouldn't be able to stretch to, and we would have to say goodbye.

We know we aren't a deserving charity and this is totally out of our characters, but we're reaching out to anyone who can help. No amount is too small. If we get a certain way down the road and we have excess money from fundraising then we will of course donate it on to a further charity in need.
