Late on Friday, 19th September, we came across five tiny kittens huddled at the side of the main road leading into Newcastle Emlyn. It took us from 10pm until 3:30am to safely rescue 4 of them from a steep bank by the busy traffic. It’s taken us 24 hours to catch the 5th kitten as it was just so scared.
When we finally got them home, it became heartbreakingly clear that these babies weren’t feral—they had been dumped. Four beautiful little girls & 1 boy, discarded like they didn’t matter.
Sadly, two of the kittens are suffering with severe eye ulcers. One poor girl’s ulcer has already perforated, and she will need to have her eye removed once she’s strong enough, Her sister also has an ulcer, and though we are treating it with antibiotics, there’s a slight chance she may lose her eye too. All five are underweight and in desperate need of care, but despite their rough start, they are the sweetest, most loving little souls.
We aren’t the type to ask for financial help, but the costs of vet care, medication, and surgery is not cheap. If you could spare even a few pounds, it would mean the world in helping us give these kittens the healthy, happy future they deserve.❤️
Every little bit makes a difference. Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting these girls on their road to recovery.
we will post regular updates on their journey❤️
Thank you
Abi & Gareth x
