Help Us Give Snoopy the Chance to Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, we’re Ash and Chandra, and we’re reaching out to share the story of our beloved Snoopy. Snoopy has been the light of our lives for the past 8 years. We adopted her when she was 3.5, and it was love at first sight. Since then, she has been our constant companion, our family, and a symbol of resilience and joy.

Snoopy recently celebrated her 12th birthday, and despite facing some serious medical challenges over the years, her fighting spirit remains unshaken. Her story is nothing short of extraordinary:
- She has survived tick fever, including a blood transfusion that brought her back from the brink.
- She’s undergone two surgeries—one for a benign lump and another for pyometra.
- She braves a daily routine of medications like a champ, and every trip to the vet feels like visiting her second home.

Every person who meets her can never believe her age, she rolls up a wind of excitement and makes every person fall in love with her. Her favourite hoomans are the housekeeping staff at our apartment and the staff at her hospital.

Earlier this year, we moved from India to the U.S. with Snoopy by our side. We couldn’t imagine life without her, so we made the move together, but being new immigrants, we didn’t anticipate the challenges ahead. Recently, Snoopy was diagnosed with lymphoma (lymph node cancer).

Without treatment, her time with us could be as short as two months(from onset of the symptoms), and heartbreakingly, we’ve already crossed the one-month mark. However, with chemotherapy, she could have another 1–1.5 years of happy, high-quality life.

Snoopy is still full of life, with no symptoms of her illness yet, and we are determined to fight alongside her. Unfortunately, we do not have pet insurance to cover the costs, and chemotherapy is extremely expensive—estimated at $900 per treatment, totaling approximately $14,400 to $16,000 for the full 16-session course. We’ve already exhausted our savings on diagnostics, and while asking for help is not easy, Snoopy’s life is worth every effort.

Adding to the challenges, I currently don’t have a job, and my husband’s job is facing some uncertainty, making this an incredibly tricky time for us financially. While this is a humbling position to be in, we’re doing everything we can to give Snoopy the chance to fight this battle and continue bringing joy to everyone she meets.

We are humbly asking for your support. Every contribution will go directly toward Snoopy’s treatment and give her the fighting chance she deserves. If she were suffering, we would focus solely on palliative care, but Snoopy isn’t ready to give up, and neither are we.

We also recognize how fortunate we are to even consider this treatment. If you cannot donate, please know that your love, good thoughts, and support mean the world to us as we navigate this difficult chapter.

As a token of our endless gratitude, every donor will receive a custom thank-you card from Snoopy herself (unless you wish to remain anonymous).

If any of you live nearby Seattle, Bothell, or Bellevue and would love to meet Snoopy, we would be more than happy to meet you. Snoopy would love to share her wonderful spirit and warm snuggles with her supporters! ❤️

Thank you for reading, supporting, and loving Snoopy as much as we do. With your help, we can keep her vibrant, quirky spirit alive for as long as possible ❤️
