Help Us Give Rescued Hens a Safe Home!
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Hayley, and for many years, I've dedicated myself to rescuing and rehousing battery-farmed hens. These wonderful birds have been given a second chance at life, enjoying their days free-ranging and experiencing the joy of being outside. It's incredibly heartwarming to see them thrive after 18 months of confinement.
However, our little sanctuary is currently facing a significant challenge. We have a severe red mite infestation, which has spread from wild birds to our coop. These mites hide in the cracks of the wooden coop and come out at night to feed on the hens, causing them great distress and discomfort.
Despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to eradicate these pests. The only solution is to replace our wooden coop with a plastic hen house, which can be thoroughly cleaned and doesn't provide hiding spots for mites.
This upgrade is essential to ensure the health and happiness of our current and future rescue hens. We need your help to make this happen. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards purchasing a new, mite-resistant plastic coop.
Please consider donating to help us continue giving these hens the safe and happy lives they deserve. Thank you for your kindness and support!
