Help us give Rachel the memorial she deserves
My name is Jesse and I recently lost my baby sister Rachel.
Rachel worked at Picatinny Arsenal. She was loved by her coworkers and peers and made an impact on everyone she met. Rachel also served the United States Army and earned the rank of Sargent. She loved the outdoors and sports. She was an avid snowboarder. Rachel would love to hike and do water sports. Rachel had a passion for helping others and animals. Rachel was incredibly smart and as beautiful on the inside as outside. She was a genius with computers and would help me all the time when I struggled. Everything she did in life was for her baby girl McKenzie who she loved more than anything in the world. My father and Rachel would constantly call or visit me for fishing trips, mini vacations, or just to drop off food and snacks with McKenzie and her dog Chewy. The 4 of them were an inseparable team! There were endless good memories we will all never forget! One memory that comes to mind is when we were little kids we both woke up early before our parents and walked downstairs and opened all the Christmas gifts before anyone woke up. The family was furious, but my sister and I were a team laughing when we got into trouble. Even when my sister and I got into arguments she had a way to walk up to me when I was cranky and she would just hug me and say " I Love you big brother" and I would melt and everything would be ok. I was her protector and now she is my Guardian Angel.
She tragically left us too soon leaving behind her baby girl, my 2 year old niece McKenzie. I am at a loss of words and can’t find the way to express what everyone is going through. My family and I are trying to give Rachel the proper service and burial she deserves. Even your prayers and thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Thank You,
And God Bless
