Some people leave a mark so deep on your heart that time can’t fade it. Claude (Pops) and Perry were two of those people — larger than life, yet humble, caring, and full of laughter that could light up even the darkest days.

Perry was the kind of person who showed his love through action. Nearly four years ago, he gave his life protecting Pops — an act that spoke to his brave and selfless spirit. Pops, who raised Perry like his own son, carried that love and heartbreak with him until the end of his own long battle with cancer. Even through pain and loss, he remained the same — tough yet gentle, kind yet strong, always finding a reason to smile and a story to tell.

The two of them shared an unbreakable bond — like twins in spirit. They were the heart of every gathering, always the ones making sure everyone else was okay, always the first to lend a hand. Those who knew them remember their laughter, their warmth, and the way they made everyone feel like family.

This GoFundMe was created to give them both the memorial they deserve — a double headstone, a symbol of the bond that neither time nor death can break. Our goal of $4,100 will cover the full cost of the headstone, including engraving and installation. Any additional funds received will be given to the family.
