Hi everyone,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our sweet adopted husky, Pax. Earlier this month in January 2026, we adopted Pax after a rescue organization saved her just moments before her scheduled euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in Downey, California. She had already endured the heartbreak of being surrendered by her previous family and the trauma of shelter life — yet somehow, she remained the gentlest, most affectionate, playful, and loving soul. From the moment she came into our lives, she has been pure joy.
Sadly, shortly after bringing her home, we learned that Pax is showing signs of a bulging disc in her spine, which is causing her pain and discomfort. To properly diagnose the severity and determine the best treatment plan, she urgently needs an MRI, not including any follow-up treatment she may require. We understand how important transparency is, especially with so many scams happening today. We will gladly provide proof of all veterinary costs, invoices, and medical documentation to anyone who would like reassurance. Our only goal is to get Pax the care she desperately needs.
This news has completely devastated us. All we want is to give Pax the healthy, happy life she deserves — the life she was so close to never having. Because her adoption happened so suddenly, we didn’t have time to purchase pet insurance, and the entire cost of her care is coming out of pocket. We simply do not have the funds to cover this expense on our own, and asking for help is not easy — but we are doing it for her.
Please help us give her the chance to heal, run, to play and live the beautiful life she deserves. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. If you’re not able to donate, can you please share our post? With gratitude, Benny and Feha.
