Hi, I’m Victor. My dad, Pat, has always been our rock. But right now, our family is facing one of the toughest challenges of our lives.

After years of battling chronic kidney disease, my dad underwent an unexpected and life-saving quadruple bypass open-heart surgery. While we’re grateful he came through, his recovery is just beginning—and it’s going to be long, difficult, and costly.

My dad spent his entire career as a dedicated heavy-duty mechanic, a job that demanded strength, skill, and resilience. Sadly, complications from his kidney disease forced him into an early retirement, and now this heart surgery has presented a new and daunting hurdle.

Pat has spent his entire life putting others first—both on the job and at home. He’s the kind of person who shows up without being asked, who gives quietly, and who loves fiercely. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

My dad is unable to work during this time, and my mom has taken a leave from her job to care for him around the clock.
