Our mom is the heart of our family—gentle, selfless, and full of a quiet strength that has carried us through every season of life. Today, she is facing two devastating battles at once: ALS and leukemia. Watching her fight these illnesses with such grace has been both heartbreaking and awe-inspiring. Even as her body weakens, her spirit is still so present, so full of love, and so desperately wanting to experience whatever moments she has left to the fullest.

Right now, she is confined to her hospital bed or wheelchair, inside the house day after day. She longs just to get fresh air, to feel sunlight, to see the world outside the same four walls. She still has the use of her upper body, which means with a mobility van, she could finally get out—go for rides, visit family, attend appointments more comfortably, and simply live in a way she can’t right now.

A mobility van would give her a freedom she hasn’t felt in so long. It would give her a chance to experience joy again. A chance to feel human again. A chance to reclaim a piece of her life that these illnesses have tried to take away. It would truly be a life-changing gift.

People are always asking how they can help, how they can show up, how they can make a difference. This—THIS—would change her world. No one deserves this final bit of hope, comfort, and enjoyment more than our mom. She has poured her entire life into loving others, and now, in her hardest chapter, we want to give something meaningful back to her.

We are overwhelmed by gratitude for everyone who has walked with us: those who have prayed over her and with her, brought meals, sat by her side, texted, called, and carried us through days when we could barely carry ourselves. Your kindness has kept us afloat when the weight felt unbearable.

Our dad has been her full-time caregiver, sacrificing absolutely everything to make sure she is safe, comfortable, and loved. He has been extraordinary—strong, gentle, devoted—despite battling his own health issues. My siblings and I wanted to take this step to lift even the smallest burden from him and to give our mom something that could bring her even a little happiness.

My parents are the most selfless people we know. To be able to give them this gift—for her to experience the world again, and for him to have a way to give her those moments—would mean everything to our family.

From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you for reading, donating, sharing, and simply caring. Your support means more than you could ever imagine. You are helping us give our mom the chance to truly live in whatever time she has left—and that is a gift beyond measure.

If you feel led to give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And no matter what, we ask that you keep our mom and our family in your prayers.

All our love & sincere gratitude,
Katie, Stacie, & Tommy
