Please Help us give our Mama Gina a proper service
Thank God for another beautiful day. We say this every day and today is a day where we never meant this phrase more. Life is too short and the ones we love are here today and gone tomorrow. Build memories, spread love, and never forget... Family First...
My name is Jeffrey LeStyne and I am Just a guy from The Bronx who loves his family with everything I’ve got. I have always been the kind of guy who doesn’t ask anyone for anything but with a recent tragedy to hit our family we didn’t know who else to ask for help. We pray that we’ve done enough good in this world to inspire others to help out a loved one that’s no longer with us.
Yesterday, July 28, 2020, we lost a beautiful family member who always put the children in our family first and always touched us with her kindness. Our beautiful Mama Gina AKA Antonina Abbate passed away.
We’re devastated by our family’s loss. Mama Gina was an angel. She was always highly spirited, loved the kids, always positive, and never judged anyone. She was a God loving woman who wanted to see everyone around her succeed. She prided herself on the successes of our family. She was our dad’s life partner and caretaker.
Mama Gina and Pop were displaced and living in a shelter In The Bronx due to a fire at their apartment In Staten Island. They lost everything and were starting from scratch. Being elderly and disabled, It was difficult to get around, but they were in the process of obtaining an apartment through section 8 housing. After two plus years of living In a shelter, they were finally pre approved for an apartment and had plans of having a place to call their own. Mama Gina just wanted a place to call home.
After reaching out to the few family members that Mama Gina has in New York, we were told that times were really difficult because they just lost a brother and now are faced with having to say their final goodbyes to their sister. Knowing how tragic times have been for Mama Gina’s family, we were inspired to help. We are devastated to hear that their family has to go through losing two family members simultaneously.
We felt like it is our duty to try to help Mama Gina get the proper farewell she deserves. She has loved ones who cared about her just like she cared about everyone around her. We’re humbly asking for any donations that we can put towards the cost of arranging a proper service for Mama Gina. Any person, who is truly loved and loved everyone, should have a proper farewell ceremony and be laid to rest with respect. We stand with Mama Gina’s family and everyone who loved Mama Gina and pray we can do right by our loved one
We pray that you can find it in your heart to help us lay our Mama Gina to rest, the right way
God bless you and remember to take some time and remind the ones you love about how much you do love them. Tomorrow is not promised. Thank God for another day to Live.
Peace and Love
