Hi there, my name is Heidi and I am Naomi's daughter. I write this to speak about my mom and how strong she is going through not just life but the fight against AML. There are no words to say exactly how we all feel, but it's incredibly hard to go through this. We all love her so much, and this is just a sad, sad ending. At one point, she was in remission, and then it relapsed. The doctors say her cancer is multiplying each day, and there is nothing else they can do. Her heart gets weaker every day, and she has pneumonia coming from fluid where her heart can't squeeze it out anymore. She is now in a skilled nursing facilty under hospice. She is very sad and doesn't want to leave everyone, but she is at peace, we know. We also know soon she will be in the loving arms of Jesus with no pain.
The only thing left is to plan and prepare for a funeral. She helped me know what songs she wanted sung, and she wants everyone to know how blessed she is. She loved her grandkids very much. We have all gotten to say goodbye, and Brandon hopefully will get to on Tuesday; we prayed she will make it till then.
Before this happened, she was staying with her older sister and caring for her for 2 years. Her goal was to save money and get settled; she was doing well until she got news of the cancer. She fought the good fight, she told me as we cried together. However, she has no savings, and we aren't able to pay it either. We are asking for help if anyone is willing or able to give a share for her. I would like her to know it's totally set up before her time on earth ends. The funds will go for a funeral and burial if we can do it. If not that we will do the next best thing with a memorial service. We are very grateful to have this time to grieve together and praying for all the friends and family at this time.
Update she is now in the loving arms of Jesus with no more pain!
