Moose's Fundraiser: A Battle for His Life

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I write to you with a heavy heart, seeking your support for our beloved dog, Moose, who is approaching his 11th birthday. Moose is not just a pet; he is a cherished member of our family, a loyal companion who has filled our lives with joy, laughter, and unconditional love.

Recently, we received devastating news when Moose was diagnosed with a 10 cm primary lung tumor. This news has shaken us to our core. The tumor was officially diagnosed by the oncologist, Dr. Jeff Weinstein, at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin, TX, on April 3, 2025. While it’s a relief to learn that the cancer has not spread, we know that time is of the essence, and immediate surgical intervention is essential to give Moose the best chance at recovery.

Over the past few months, Moose has faced multiple health challenges, including a pulmonary fungal infection and vasculitis, which masked the symptoms of his lung tumor. Despite these struggles, Moose has remained a steadfast source of comfort and happiness in our lives. His playful spirit and loving nature inspire us to fight for his health and happiness.

The surgery that Moose needs comes with significant costs that we are finding difficult to manage. We are reaching out to our community, asking for your support during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in covering his medical expenses and ensuring that Moose receives the care he desperately needs.

For clarity, we are seeking to raise funds for the following:

- CT Scan: $2,441, which is essential to assess the major vessels and arteries surrounding the tumor.

-Lobectomy Procedure: $10,168.94 The remaining funds will go directly toward the surgery that aims to remove the tumor and restore Moose’s health.
