This is to seek your support for our dear daughter, sister, mother and friend, Mey Desola, who has been battling Breast Cancer since July 2021 in Nigeria. Since the diagnosis, she has undergone a Mastectomy and has bravely completed 6 rounds of Chemotherapy. To keep the cancerous cells low/inactive and to decrease the chance of reoccurrence, her doctors have put her on a medication called Herceptin. She is required to take 18 doses of Herceptin every 3 weeks. This is where we need YOUR SUPPORT.

 

Each dose of Herceptin costs $700 (N350,000). The total cost of this treatment is about $12,600 (N6.3M), not including Chemotherapy and other medications. Due to a poor healthcare system and lack of coverage from her health insurance, this bill has to be paid out of pocket. As a result, she and her family are quickly running low on funds. We humbly seek your support to help offset her medical bills and GIVE HER A GREATER CHANCE OF BEATING CANCER!

 

A little about Mey. She is a very vibrant, loving, hardworking and (most of all) strong young woman. She has always been very caring and dependable. She always goes out of her way to offer a helping hand and rarely reaches out to others for help; thus, this current situation is very unfamiliar to her, where she is depending on others for help. She has a young son who means the world to her; please, let’s do all we can to keep her alive for him.
