Help us give Melissa a leg up!

Hi friends and family, sorry for the delayed update things have been a bit overwhelming at times but I'm happy to say our Magical Melissa is on the mend! Her surgery went beautifully and she's currently at the Elks rehabilitation center where she is attending multiple therapy sessions each day focusing on strengthening herself in preparation for at home living! Although she has one less leg her demeanor and attitude are as beautiful as ever! Despite her everyday challenges she's still wakes up with the smile on her face and a can-do attitude even through excruciating pain! Her story is something to write a book about which she actually plans on doing so we will keep you posted on this upcoming bestseller! As you can see in the photo her current prosthetic which was on back order from India isn't quite up to par. I know I can take care of the skin tone with some spray paint however I'm going to have to do some major sanding on the other leg to try to even things out! Before I bust out the belt sander we are going to call on you guys to continue to show your support and help us raise some money to get a better looking prosthetic lol! She is really eager to get home and adopt some sense of normalcy! Humor has been a key in getting us through these hard times so hopefully if you're reading this we brought a smile to your face as well! The road we face is far from over but we've been so incredibly blessed by everybody's generosity and support! Each and every one of you has played a key role in Melissa's miraculous recovery and we need you to know It's made a world of difference! We don't know if we could have gotten this far without everybody's help! So just know that from the bottom of our hearts we thank you!
