At 12 years old, and after everything he’s already been through, we’ve decided not to put Matix through the additional stress and suffering of chemotherapy. Instead, we’ve chosen to focus on holistic care — putting only good, healing things into his body to slow the cancer’s progression, manage his symptoms, and allow him to live out his final years as peacefully and fully as possible.

We’ve already started making significant changes to his diet and researching powerful, supportive supplements. Our next step is to begin working with a holistic veterinarian to guide us through this journey and ensure Matix is receiving the best natural care available.

We are anticipating about $300/month that will cover:

* High-quality supplements

* Continued dietary support

We have opened a savings account specifically for Matix’s care funds and are hoping to build a cushion to help us get Matix started on this plan as soon as possible, especially since we’ve noticed changes in his breathing again. Although his vet was able to open his nasal passage a bit during the biopsy in June, the tumor appears to be growing again.

Matix is our best friend, our family, our daily reminder to slow down and appreciate life. He’s brought us so much joy, love, and resilience over the years, and we’re determined to continue doing everything we possibly can for him.
