It is with great sadness that I share that our beloved beagle Marley has been diagnosed with cancer. Sweet baby Moo has been a cherished part of our family for 16 years. She has had a long and happy life of adventure and joy. Marley’s days have been filled with slow walks, peanut butter treats, ear scratches, playtime with her brother Buns, and endless curiosity—her favorite activities include sniffing everything in sight, chasing rabbits, and long road trips where she always hopes for a bite of pizza crust. One of our most treasured memories is taking Marley to the ocean two years ago, where she sunbathed, enjoyed the sea breeze and ran happily through the sand.

Marley’s diagnose came as a complete surprise. Because of her age, the doctors said that chemotherapy is not an option for her. As difficult as this is, after a tough conversation with the vet, we have decided that to avoid any unnecessary suffering, we need to lay Marley to rest.

We want to give her the most peaceful goodbye possible, surrounded by her family in her own home. She's been quite uncomfortable around strangers most of her life, and we don't want her last memory to be in the vet's office. My husband, who adopted Marley when he was in high school, and I will be with her, along with her best buddy and little brother, Buns. Our goal is to make her final moments comfortable and filled with love. We’re hoping to cover the costs of at-home euthanasia, cremation, and a paw imprint to remember her by. We’ve tried to secure funds through other means, but were unsuccessful due to personal circumstances, so we’re reaching out for help during this difficult time.
