Help Us Give Mark a Dignified Farewell
Donation protected
It’s never easy to ask anyone for help, but unfortunately, it’s something I have to do. My father, Mark, is currently in the ICU at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland. Sadly, it is not the outcome we were hoping for. He’s extremely sick with sepsis (as well as several other issues going on) and will not survive any of the procedures they would perform to help save his life. He’s on several different medications that are keeping him going, but between my mom, brother, husband, and I, we came to the conclusion that we will be starting comfort care (palliative care).
What that entails is the hospital will start taking him off the medications keeping his blood pressure stabilized and the antibiotics to help with the infection, and just start concentrating on keeping him comfortable. None of us were prepared for this to be happening, and unfortunately, between the four of us, we cannot give him the proper send-off that we would like without asking for help. My parents live on a fixed income and couldn’t afford life insurance that would help out in situations like this. Even if you can’t donate, just sharing will help us out. And every little bit does help. Thank you for taking the time to read and share this
