In Loving Memory of Maria de Garcia Ortiz

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Maria de Garcia Ortiz, on February 19, 2025. Maria was a devoted wife to Jose Ortiz and a loving mother to Mayra, Carlos, Eduardo, and Emanuel. She was also a proud and cherished grandmother to Kristian, Izabella, and Arron. She was the rock of our family, a woman whose strength and love knew no bounds.

In 2009, Maria was diagnosed with emphysema, and doctors gave her only five years to live. They said she would need an oxygen nebulizer and a portable oxygen tank just to manage her day-to-day life. But Maria, with her fierce will and unwavering determination, defied those odds. She continued to live her life fully, caring for her family and doing the things she loved without assistance. Her strength and resilience were nothing short of extraordinary.

In January 2025, Maria was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Despite the challenging diagnosis, she fought courageously and with grace, never losing her spirit. However, her lungs could no longer keep up with her fight, and she passed away peacefully in February.

As we cope with this immense loss, we are reaching out for support to give Maria the proper send-off she so greatly deserves. The emotional toll of losing a loved one is hard enough, and the financial strain adds an additional layer of hardship. Any contributions, big or small, will go towards her funeral and memorial expenses, allowing us to honor her life and the incredible mother, grandmother, and wife she was.

We are deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide during this difficult time. Maria’s memory will live on in our hearts forever, and we are so thankful for the love and support of our community.

En Memoria de Maria de Garcia Ortiz

Con el corazón lleno de dolor, compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, Maria de Garcia Ortiz, el 19 de febrero de 2025. Maria fue una esposa devota de Jose Ortiz y una madre amorosa para Mayra, Carlos, Eduardo y Emanuel. También fue una abuela orgullosa y muy querida de Kristian, Izabella y Arron. Ella fue la roca de nuestra familia, una mujer cuya fuerza y amor no conocían límites.

En 2009, a Maria se le diagnosticó enfisema, y los médicos le dieron solo cinco años de vida. Dijeron que necesitaría un nebulizador de oxígeno y un tanque de oxígeno portátil solo para manejar su vida diaria. Pero Maria, con su voluntad feroz y determinación inquebrantable, desafió esas probabilidades. Continuó viviendo su vida plenamente, cuidando a su familia y haciendo las cosas que amaba sin ayuda. Su fuerza y resistencia fueron extraordinarias.

En enero de 2025, Maria fue diagnosticada con cáncer de mama en estadio 4. A pesar del diagnóstico desafiante, luchó con valentía y gracia, sin perder nunca su espíritu. Sin embargo, sus pulmones ya no pudieron seguir luchando, y falleció pacíficamente en febrero.

Mientras enfrentamos esta enorme pérdida, pedimos apoyo para darle a Maria el adiós adecuado que tanto merece. El dolor emocional de perder a un ser querido ya es suficiente, y la carga financiera agrega una capa adicional de dificultad. Cualquier contribución, grande o pequeña, se destinará a los gastos del funeral y memorial, permitiéndonos honrar su vida y la increíble madre, abuela y esposa que fue.

Estamos profundamente agradecidos por cualquier ayuda que puedan brindar durante este tiempo tan difícil. El recuerdo de Maria vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones, y estamos muy agradecidos por el amor y el apoyo de nuestra comunidad.
