Update: After pre-surgery consultations today they found out Leo has bladder cancer. There is no cure and treatment will only extend his life a couple of months. We have determined surgery is no longer an option for Leo. His leg mobility could be from metastasized tumors in his spine, or IVDD, we will never know.

We get to bring him home today and make his last few months wonderful and comfortable. Thank you all for your support.

We will be leaving the GoFund me up but lowering the goal to just what we need to cover our out of pocket expenses.

Help Us Give Leo a Second Chance

This past year has been incredibly difficult for our little family. In November, Ethan lost his father, Rick—a loss that has left a lasting ache in our hearts. Around the same time, we also said goodbye to our beloved cat, Milo, after his battle with kidney failure.

Now, we’re facing another challenge we never saw coming.

Our sweet dog, Leo, needs surgery—one that could give him a 90% chance of regaining full mobility. Right now, we’re not ready to face another goodbye. Leo is more than just a pet; he’s family. He’s been a source of comfort and joy through our toughest times, and we want to do everything we can to give him the care he needs.

This surgery offers real hope—but it also comes with a steep cost.

We’ve always worked hard, budgeted carefully, and lived within our means, but this unexpected expense is beyond what we can manage alone.
