It does not come easy to share the news with everyone that our dog Kezia has been diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma. Lymphoma in dogs is a fast-spreading cancer with an extremely high mortality rate if nothing is done. With no treatment, Kezia will succumb to it in about one month. This made it an easy decision for us to opt to do chemotherapy. Effective, though expensive, it will give Kez the opportunity to continue being the playful, affectionate, kibble chomping companion you all know and love.

For anyone interested in knowing the details of his treatments, they are as follows...

His chemotherapy will involve a combination of four different medications administered intravenously on top of a medley of pills given at home to combat side effects. There will be 16 sessions in total spanning 24 weeks, each session ranging from $350-$1000.

The first treatment was administered on May 10th and he was a champ! The doctors said he was relaxed and his blood work came back squeaky clean, which makes his prognosis very positive.

It wasn't an easy decision to start a GFM, but this is a hard situation and we want Kez to spend more time rolling in the grass and playing tug-o-war.
